I just checked out the page that Ronald recommended for green coffee beans
in Germany at www.preusslers.de and noticed that they sell the Imex CR-100
roaster. There is a note that, in addition to doing small roasting jobs
with this unit, it can be used as a "coffee-aroma generator." I wonder how
that works. The coffee I roasted last night did not leave a
"coffee-aroma," but rather a smokey, burnt chocolate smell. Does anyone
have any thoughts on what they meant by this?
ANSWER:
Well, that's weird. Where did you read that? It says "Dufterzeuger" which
means smell-disposer (if a word like that exists in English). He probably
means one can get rid of the coffee-roasting smells with this machine, which
is a bit right since smells are diluted heavily and not much noticed.
